WELCOME
More than words is all you have to do to make it real
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
Cos I'd already know

Yo! Haha. I'm back from KL. Whee!!!! Went there over the weekend for some fencing competition and got murdered. My friend and I even formed a Losers Club. She's my fellow loser. Haha. Ah well... It was an international competition, and the only non-national fencers were the CJ fencers. Haha. But it was an eye-opening experience lah. Learnt a lot about fencing and about myself. Made a few new friends too. Actually, it's more like I knew they existed, but never talked to them till this trip.
Fencing aside, there was also shopping. Whee! But knowing what a non-shopper I am, it was kinda boring. Haha. KL was kinda like Orchard on a larger scale. Didn't see anything interesting worth buying though. Almost everything I saw could be bought in Singapore. So that means no presents for you :P It was pretty amusing to see how other girls become so high over shopping and how my room-mate and I couldn't really be bothered. We just tagged along on other people's shopping plans. Was asked very random questions, like:
- Why you stone so much? (Actually, I also don't know. It just feels good to let your mind stop working)
- Do you wear girly skirts? (No, most girly skirts need ironing and I'm not a girly kinda girl. I don't love shopping okay? That tells you a lot.)
- Do you wear dresses? (No, dresses need ironing too. And they're just not my thing)
- Do you like the process of sleeping or do you like the energetic feeling after sleeping? (Erm... I don't particularly feel energised after sleeping. It just feels good to let your mind stop working)
- Are your shoes tennis shoes? (Erm... I don't know. I just wear)
That sort of thing lah. You get the picture. Most of the questions came from guys. Go figure.
Oh, and my "new friend" told me that if I don't smile, I look really dao. Oh man... Does that mean that I have been unknowingly dao-ing people for my entire life? This is so sad. Can you people tell me if it's true? He says he was shocked to see me smile and laugh so much cuz I apparently look very different when I smile. Really ah? He told me to smile more, but I told him that if I smile for long periods of time, my cheek muscles would ache. Plus, I would look like a fool for smiling to myself all day.
Customs-crossing was the funniest. Those who got spot-checked ended up with funny stories and experiences. Haha. We arrived in Singapore at 4 plus in the morning at Golden Mile Complex. Was about to sms some people (ie Hannie) to announce my arrival in the east (i think so anyway, it was near Bugis MRT), but I decided to be nice and let her sleep. With no buses and trains running, I had no choice but to cab home. Almost fell asleep on the cab considering how I haven't slept well on the whole 6 hour journey home and for the past 2 nights cuz hotel security wasn't so good. One night my room-mate and I accidentally walked to the wrong room. we stuck our key card in to the wrong door and it opened! Oh my gosh... That night we made sure we locked everything lockable (like some extremely paranoid dodos).
Things my room-mate and I have in common:
- We are very kiasu packers. We bring everything.
- We are water buckets. The electric kettle in our room was boiling water almost every hour. Can you believe that?
That sums up my Malaysia trip. Going back to school tomorrow. Sigh. Going for shopping and Maddie's band concert this Sat. Whee!
Adlin Darling: I miss you loads.. Oh man... it's only March. Sigh... Love love!
